Leoda C. McIntyre age 90 a lifelong Connersville resident, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 at Fayette Regional Health System.
She was born January 6, 1923 in Connersville the daughter of the late Loda C. and Doris Sherwood Newhouse.
Leoda was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is a graduate of Connersville High School and was a homemaker as well as having worked a short time at NATCO credit union.
She enjoyed her family and enjoyed working word puzzles and writing poems.
She is survived by her sons Barry D. McIntyre of Connersville and Terry A. McIntyre of Connersville; a sister Beryl Bradford of Connersville and a brother Marion Newhouse and wife Rilla of Richmond, TX. 5 grandchildren Trevor McIntyre; Troy McIntyre; Trent McIntyre; Tobi McIntyre and Greg McIntyre as well as 6 great grandchildren Ryan, Adam, Parker, Brooklyn, Tristan, and Travis McIntyre; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Leoda is preceded in death by her husband Clyde W. McIntyre to whom she was married June 7, 1943. He passed away April 6, 1997. She is also preceded in death by a grandson Travis McIntyre; a brother Darrell Newhouse and a sister Juanita Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday Oct. 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Sherwood officiating.
Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
