Anna Ruth Vickous Miller, 93, of Bowling Green, went to be with her Lord at 5:37 p.m. April 9, 2011, at a Bowling Green nursing home.

The Bowling Green native was born Aug. 4, 1917.

She was a laundry attendant and a longtime employee of Troy Laundry. She was known as "Tinsy" by her friends and family. She attended Living Hope Baptist Church with her daughter and was a member of the Ladies Bible Fellowship Class. She loved to read and dress up. Being with her family was a very important part of her life.

She was a daughter of the late William Jasper Vickous and Bertha Mae Douglas Vickous and the wife of the late Joseph David Miller, who died in 1978. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Gail Barnett and her husband, Michael, and Libby Hinch, all of Bowling Green, and Anna Towles and her husband, Gene, of Lexington;

six granddaughters, Jamie Cassady and her husband, Monte, of Rockfield, Jill Thomas and her husband, Ben, Jenny Pardue and her husband, Tad, and Sarah Beth Barnett, all of Bowling Green, and Christy Barnett and her fiance, Jason Baker, and Shanna Hinds and her husband, Eric, all of Lexington;

and nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Abby and Aaron Cassady, Eli Martin and Annsley Thomas, J.C. DeVisser, Ethan Hinds, and Reeve and Rudy Pardue.
