Ruth "Sis" Epley
(December 6, 1936 - November 19, 2015)
Beulah Ruth “Sis” Epley daughter of the late Lore “Toots” Pogue Amsden and John Amsden was born in Redford, Missouri, on December 6, 1936. She departed this life at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 19, 2015, at the age of 78.
On June 16, 1956 in Redford, Missouri, Ruth was united in marriage to Willard Worth Epley and to this union three children were born. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2001. Ruth was of the Baptist Faith. She loved quilting, gardening and taking care of her flowers. Ruth’s greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Willard Steven and Kevin Wayne Epley, and three brothers, Eugene, Bobby and Obia Amsden.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Reda Carol Prescott and husband Mike of St. Peters, Missouri, six grandchildren, Angela, Jessica, Elizabeth, Megan, William and Christina, eight great-grandchildren, four brothers, John Wesley Amsden, of Centerville, Missouri, Darrel Amsden of Cuba, Missouri, Herbert Amsden of Centerville, Missouri, Coy Amsden of Ellington, Missouri, seven sisters, Wilma Rudolph of Centerville, Missouri, Helen Rudolph of Centerville, Missouri, Wanda Landrum of Festus, Missouri, Linda Meyer of Ellington, Missouri, Brenda Little of St. Louis, Missouri, Lela Mallard of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Georgianna Amsden of Centerville, Missouri. Ruth will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.

Funeral Services: Saturday, November 28th 11 AM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri
