Obituary
Mary Jane (Aduddle) Conner was born February 16, 1823 in Guernsey county, Ohio. She wed Johnathan Wilford Conner and to this union eight children were born; six boys and two girls. Her husband died March 8, 1891. She had been a member of the Methodist church for 61 years.
She leaves to mourn her six sons, two daughters, twenty eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She moved to Nebraska with her husband and children in April 1888. She died October, 24, 1910 at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 8 days. For the passed few months she failed rapidly, both her family and friends could see that the time was drawing near when she would go to rest. Her troubles seemed only of that of old age. Everything that love and care could provide was hers.
Funeral services were held at her home on Tuesday, October 25, 1910. it being the largest of this section. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the many friends who done so much to help in our bereavment. We stood silently by and watched those children pay their last respects to their mother, we can only think while the child has grown older in years, when the hair is gray, and the child has grown to manhood or womanhood, yet their is none to take the place of their mother. The Cords that move them to this earth, the stongest one is broken, and there is one added which should bind them still closer to the heart of the Great Redeemer who had made it possible for us to meet our loved ones in a better world above. Rest our Mother, until we meet again.
