Andrew W. Devolve, Sr. July 15, 1928 - September 25, 2013 Plainfield - Andrew W. Devolve, Sr. 85, of Spaulding Rd. beloved husband of the late Margaret (Thibeault) Devolve passed away Wednesday morning at Regency Heights in Danielson. He was born July 15, 1928 in Norwich a son of the late Alfred and Viola (Cole) Devolve and had been a lifelong resident of Plainfield. Mr. Devolve was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver having worked for Trahan's Seafood, Pepsi, Narragansett Breweries, Hosmer Mountain Soda and retired from Colchester Egg Farms. Mr. Devolve was a member of VFW Post# 5446 and was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, sharing all with his neighbors. He is survived by a son Andrew W. Devolve, Jr. of Plainfield; two daughters Debra J. Tate and Cheryl D. Simonds both of Plainfield; a brother Spencer Devolve of Plainfield; three sisters Marion Tracy of Canterbury, Joyce Greenman of Danielson and Emma Hewitt of CO. six grandchildren, seven Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son George A. Devolve, a brother Nelson Devolve and a sister Lillian Salois. ' A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held in Union Cemetery, Moosup.
