Lloyd T. LaVoie, 83, of Bourbonnais, will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, where he was a member.

Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Grade School. He died Wednesday (May 9, 2007) at his residence.

Mr. LaVoie was a retired distributor for Standard Oil Co. He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Ashkum, the son of Edward and Eva Anderson LaVoie. His first wife, the former Lorraine Ruder, whom he married Feb. 7, 1948, in Kankakee, died Nov. 20, 1997. He later married the former Dolores Wallrich Aug. 26, 2000. She died Jan. 18, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Moose. He enjoyed socializing, family and friends, going for coffee with his friends and playing cards. He was an avid Cubs fan.
