Anna M. Sauser, 85, of 305 Third Ave. NW, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at 12:15 p.m. at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade from a long courageous battle with cancer. Friends and relatives of Anna may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, where an American Legion Auxiliary and CDA rosary will be at 4:30 p.m. and a wake service at 6 p.m. Services for Anna M. Sauser will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade.

Anna was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Coggon, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Marie (Crimmins) Brady. On March 11, 1943, she was united in marriage to Paul Sauser at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade. She was employed at Polo Plastics in Monticello until her retirement in 2002.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Our Blessed Mother Court 1926, and Cascade American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, John (Linda) Sauser of Monticello, Steve (Marlene) Sauser of Cascade and Patrick "Stump" (Kathy) Sauser of Cascade; four daughters, Julie Winders (and Pat Myers) of Fennimore, Wis., Karen Sauser of Shullsburg, Wis., Carol (Nick) Volk of Walford and Janne (Brian) Schlemme of Cascade; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Jean Marie Brady BVM of Iowa City and Doris Talbert of Cascade.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul L. Sauser on Aug. 24, 2008; one great-grandson, Kyle Sauser; one son-in-law, George Winders; one daughter-in-law, Betty Sauser; two brothers, Joseph and Michael Brady; and five sisters, Mary Brady, Marcella Morey, Catherine Stutt, Loretta Tomlinson and Alice Bertling.

An Anna M. Sauser memorial fund has been established.
