Albert Marshall Ashe of Raton, NM passed away September 16, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 75. He was a retired truck driver and a United States Army veteran. He was born December 26, 1929 in Segundo, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur V. and Eliza Rivera-Ash. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Arthur Ashe, Sarah Perea and Suzie Ashe; granddaughter, Elena Ashe; and numerous relatives. He is survived by his wife, Magdelina Aguilar. They were married February 3, 1951. He is survived by his sons: Arthur Rayand and his wife, Patricia Ashe of Albuquerque, NM, Robert and his wife, Debbie Ashe of Albuquerque, NM, Simon and his wife, Marie Ashe of Albuquerque, NM, and Gerald Ashe and his fiance, Katie MacNeilage of Raton, NM; daughters, Alberta McLemore and her husband, Brian of Weatherford, TX, Clara Mesillas and her husband, Cid of Albuquerque, NM and Adeline Vigil and her husband, Kelly of Monte Vista, CO. 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive. He is also survived by his brothers: Arthur Ashe and his wife, Debra of Belen, NM, Emil Ashe and his wife, Liz of Golondrinas, NM, Reyes Ashe and his wife, Liz of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph Ashe and his wife, Marcella of Albuquerque, NM, Patrick Ashe and his wife, Gloria of Golondrinas, NM and sisters; Flora Paiz of Albuquerque, NM, Virginia Raybon and her husband, Grady, Grace Olivas and her husband, Nick of Albuquerque, NM, Stella Archuleta and her husband, Steve of Albuquerque, NM, and Liza Chavea and her husband, Ray of Albuquerque, NM. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Mass of the Resurrection and a Celebration of Love will follow at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Father John as Celebrant. There will also be Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at St. Patrick's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Raton, NM at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2005. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Raton. Arrangements and a Celebration of Love for Albert Marshall Ashe are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
