Mrs. Ruby J. Baggett, age 94, of Lyerly, GA, the Oakhill Community died Friday, July 15, 2011 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Baggett was born July 11, 1917, in Cherokee County Alabama, was retired from Mohawk Carpet, she was a greeter for Wal-Mart for many years, an avid gardener and quilter and a member of the Oakhill United Methodist Church. Survivors include a Sister, Nell Stevens, and several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 17, 2011, at the Oakhill United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Gillespie and Rev. Bill Adams officiating with interment in the Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Beach, Bob Hawkins, Duane Yarbrough, Tony Jones, Hugh Teague, Danny McGraw, Jason Winters, Charlie Teague.

Mrs. Baggett will lie in state at Oakhill United Methodist Church and the family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Oak Hill Cemetery Fund.
