Emanuel Allen was the son of Civil War veteran Isaiah T. and Mary Ellen Bowman Enders. He was a Presbyterian Missionary to India. He married Frances S. Seibert at Camden, NJ on Sept. 9, 1887. After the death of their first child, they adopted a girl named Miriam of the Miller family. A son named Gordon B. was born in 1897 and Robert K. was born in 1899. Though buried in Fatehpur, India, a memorial stone in the Harrisburg Cemetery, next to his parents, commemorates the life of Emanuel Allen Enders.
