Born: October 7, 1920 at Balsam Bay, Manitoba, Canada.

He was the third child and eldest son to Alexander and Frances Mary (Linklater) Anderson.

The family with children Myrtle, Ruby, Harold and Elmer moved to Pine Falls, Manitoba in 1927.
There Eddie, Kenneth, Ileen and Wayne were born.

Harold attended school in Pine Falls. He was known to his family as "Hal" and to his friends as "Andy". While growing up he was active in hockey and ball.
As a loving son (and brother) he helped his father in the bakery when needed. He also worked for the Manitoba Paper Co. in Pine Falls when he left school.

He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940 and became a fighter pilot.

Harold was killed in a plane crash flying a Kitty-hawk aircraft out of Fort Glenn, Alaska. The plane crashed on Unmak Island in the Aleutians on April 1, 1943.
He is buried in the Allied Post section of the Post Cemetery.

Harold was promoted from Flight Sergeant to Warrant Officer, Class-1 posthumously.
