Kyle Emerson Gamboa, 18, son of Kymberlyrenee Gamboa (Contway) and Manuel Gamboa Jr., passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, in San Francisco, Calif.

Kyle was born on June 24, 1995, in Sacramento, Calif.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Kymberlyrenee Gamboa (Contway) and Manuel Gamboa Jr.; brother, Manuel III; sister, Shamya Ledford; grandparents, Harold and Kathy Contway; niece, Lola Swisher; great-grandmother, Ramona Montoya; aunts and uncles, Chris and Scott Arentz (Contway), Julie and Scott Badley (Contway), Milo and Ron Vanaken (Gamboa), and John Montoya; and many cousins.

He attended the Sacramento Waldorf School from parent-toddler, kindergarten, and through the beginning of his 12th grade year. Kyle worked with his brother, Manuel III, and mother, Kymberlyrenee, on their cousins' ranch, Husted Bros., stacking hay during the summers.

Kyle worked at Lasertag of Carmichael and had been involved with lasertag since he was nine years old. Kyle planned on competing in lasertag internationally after his high school graduation in June. Kyle's humor, energetic personality, passion, determination, and his ability to entertain family and friends alike endeared him to all who knew him. Kyle was a gifted athlete and especially excelled in basketball and competitive strategic lasertag.

Kyle tragically ended his life much too soon by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Kyle did not show any signs to anyone, even his closest friends that he wanted to end his life.

Love, light, and prayers for Kyle and his family and friends have been invaluable in helping everyone to heal from ours and their devastating loss.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Dillon Cemetery. A potluck will be held after the services at the Elks Lodge in Dillon. All are welcome.
