Janice went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 3, 2012. Jan was born to the late Victor and Julia Albeck in Sioux City Iowa on August 1, 1939. She grew up in Sioux City, but made Freeland Michigan her home. She worked at Saginaw Pines Nursing Home for 35 years, retiring just 1 ½ years ago. Janice enjoyed being with her family, playing cards, and being outside in her yard and flower garden.

Surviving are: her husband Guy; her children, Vicky L. of South Bend IN, Craig and fiancé Sandy Winterstein, Shelly, and Chad, all of Freeland. Also surviving are: 2 grandchildren, Stacey Reinke and Spencer Crockett; 2 sisters, Patty Harrison and Christina Kniefl; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Victor, and 2 nephews.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave., Saginaw, MI. Rev. Paul R. Hinz will officiate. The family will receive friends at church on Monday from 10 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Cartwright House of Saginaw.
