Ruth Allison LaNeve, 94, a longtime East Liverpool resident, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Damascus.

Born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, April 11, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Jesse E. and Daisy M. Baldwin Allison. A resident of the area most of her life, she worked as a teacher's aide at Westgate School for 15 years. She also worked at the former Zack's Clothing Store as a seamstress.

A member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool, she enjoyed singing there, both as a soloist and a member of the choir.

Her husband, Anthony "Tony" LaNeve, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Huggins of Salem and Karen Huggins, and her husband Garry Fry, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, along with a son, Glenn Huggins of Greeley, Colorado. There are two step-sons, Ronald R. LaNeve and Donald D. LaNeve, as well as a sister, Virginia Hamilton of Beaver, Pennsylvania.

In addition, she leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
