John Oliver Abbey was an unmarried logger who died in a logging accident at Hartley Lake Camp near Fernie BC. He was the son of Archie Lewis Abbey (born in Moose Jaw SK) and Martha Alice Crompton (born in England). The informant was his mother Mrs. Martha Abbey of West Fernie.
