Shirley Lee Calvert, 76, of Petersburg, Illinois, passed away at 10:44 A.M. Thursday October 3, 2013 at Springfield Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.
She was born September 23, 1937 in Alvin, Illinois, the daughter of Sterling and Sophia Burton Baker. She married Cleo Calvert on August 20, 1954 in Henning He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Lee, Bearl Hughes Nolan and Lettie Arlington; three brothers, Joe, John and Dan Baker and one granddaughter, Haley Cheyanne Calvert.
She is survived by four daughters, Virginia Waters, Linda (Gilbert) Mockbee, Carol (Butch) Schroeder and Lorie Elem; three sons, Allen (Della Jo) Calvert, Randie (Angie) Calvert and Jerry (Michele) Calvert; one sister, Melvina (Wayne) Clayburn; three brothers, LeRoy Baker, Leonard (Gail) Baker and Sterling "Butch" Baker Jr.; twenty-six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
