Leonard W. Rappel, 67, of 1221 S. 19th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, August 7, 1991, at the residence.

Funeral services will be 9:30 am. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born May 10, 1924, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Joseph and Mathilda Hill Rappel. He married the former Lenore B. Kaminski on February 23, 1952, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Rappel was a graduate of Reedsville High School, Class of 1942, and was employed with Invincible Metal Furniture Company of Manitowoc for over 30 years, retiring in 1966. Mr. Rappel also served with the United States Army Reserves stationed in Sandia Base, Albuquerque, N.M. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing at his summer cottage at Little Sturgeon Bay, Wis.

Survivors include his wife, Lenore Rappel of Manitowoc; a daughter, Carol Steiner of Australia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Amy Rappel of Manitowoc, Michael and Linda Rappel of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Daniel, John, and Anthony, all of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Clara Rappel of Manitowoc; an aunt, Alice Pollen of Manitowoc; also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Rappel.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. led by Deacon Robert Drobka.
