Headstone has date of birth as 1867; the 1900 census has Jun 1867. However, she was listed on the 1865 Minnesota Territorial census and she was listed on the 1870 census as six years old; making her year of birth 1864 or 1865.

Leila was born to John and Sarah (Smith) Goodwin, one of 14 children. She married Herbert John Clements 22 Aug 1894 in St. Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota. Leila and John had three sons, Stanley Harvard Clements born 22 May 1896; John Goodwin Clements born 19 Feb 1899 and George R Clements born 24 Feb 1901.

Mrs. H. J. Clements died in Minneapolis at 5 o'clock this morning, after an illness of a week. She was 34 years old and is survived by a husband and three children, the eldest of whom is 6 years of age. Mrs. Clements was a daughter of Mrs. Sarah Goodwin, of this city, and a sister of Mrs. D. V. Williams. The funeral will be held on Wednesday.
