Ed was born in Juliaetta, Idaho in 1919. His family had moved there from the South, two generations before. At this time, it is unknown why Ed's parents moved from Idaho to Washington. It is known that Ed was named in honor of his father's twin, who died as an infant. The name Eddie continued another two generations down; his son and grandson are Eddie as well. Ed and his wife Doris built and ran the Totem Trail Cafe and ran it until Ed's death. Ed was a big man, tall and stocky. He died young, but the cause is currently unknown. His mother's maiden is Dygert. Ed and Doris were married: 1 Oct 1939 in Skagit Co, WA
