Doris H. Blachut (nee Hadley), 80, a resident of Friendship Village for 3 years and formerly of Des Plaines and Franklin Park was born on August 17, 1933 in Michigan to the late David and the late Marion (nee Watson), and passed away peacefully on October 5th in Schaumburg with her loving daughter by her side.

Doris enjoyed flying and was a small plane pilot. She was very involved in her children's school and social activities and was an extremely proud grandmother.

She was the adoring wife of 58 years to Charles; loving mother of Lynn (Bill) Kimball and David; very proud grandmother of Kristilyn Rehmann; dear sister of Charles Hadley; beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews; friend to many, she will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Friendship Village and especially to Funmi Alolabi for the caring and love she provided to Doris.
