SCHEPERS - Robert C. Schepers, age 85, of Caledonia, went to be with his Lord, August 13, 2011. Robert was born April 23, 1926 in Lake City, the son of John and Cornelia (Haveman) Schepers. A loyal employee of Steelcase for twenty years, Robert enjoyed gardening, woodcutting, and he was an avid reader. Robert was a member of the Middleville Christian Reformed Church for many years. On June 16, 1950, Robert married the love of his life, the former Jean Koster who survives. He is also survived by his children, John (Marva) Schepers of Jenison, Janice (Ron) Walton of Marshall, Jim (Laurie) Schepers of Byron Center; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Joy and Joanne, four brothers, and two sisters. The family will receive friends, Monday, August 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home, Middleville. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at the Middleville Christian Reformed Church, 708 W Main, Middleville, Pastor Tom DeVries, officiating. Burial will take place at 4:00 p.m. in Falmouth Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorial contributions to Rehoboth Christian School, Rehoboth, New Mexico will be appreciated.
