Chico Record, Wednesday Morning, July 9, 1919, pg 4 col 5: Infant Son of A.C. Bales Passes Away. Alfred Caswell Bales Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Bales, died Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Rice an uncle and aunt. Deceased was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Moore, pioneer residents of Chico, his mother having been before her marriage Miss Margaret Moore. The funeral will take place at 10 o’clock this morning at the Engel Chapel, Rev. Ernest Davis officiating. Interment will be in Chico Cemetery.
