Marcelin L. Gentry, 88, of Bridgeport, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2003, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Paul Bowers officiating. Burial will be in Sumner City Cemetery.

Mrs. Gentry was born on February 14, 1915, in St. Francisville, the daughter of Dale and Nina (Seitzinger) Shull.

She married Henry Gentry. He preceded her in death.

She formerly operated a beauty shop in Olney. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport, O.E.S. of Sumner, White Shrine and Veterans of Foreign
Wars Ladies Auxiliary of Lawrenceville.

Mrs. Gentry is survived by a sister, Dileen Angle Byrne, of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport.
