September 11th Terrorist Attack Victim. He was a passenger on United Airlines Flight 93 that was taken over by Al-Qaeda terrorists on September 11, 2001. A national collegiate judo champion while at the University of Rochester, he was a sales and marketing executive for an internet company, Vividence. He and his wife Lyzbeth were married in 1996 and were the parents of a daughter, Emerson, born in June of 2001. On September 11, 2001 he was aboard United Flight 93 when the plane was hijacked by terrorists believed to be heading toward a crash target in Washington, D.C. Using an airplane phone he called his wife and they talked for more than twenty minutes. When he and some other passengers decided to try to overtake the terrorists Glick told his wife, "Stay on the line. I'll be back." The plane then crashed at 10:03 AM in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, far from what is believe it’s intended target. Cockpit tapes that the FBI later made available to the families seem to suggest that the passengers charged the cockpit single file behind a food cart that was used as a shield and battering ram. Jeremy Glick’s remains were recovered and eventually interred in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland, New York. His name can be found on Panel S-67 of the National September 11 Memorial in Manhattan, New York City, New York, and on the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
