In 1850, William Ozmun was a farmer, living in Boston Township, Summit County, Ohio and is believed to be the son of Jacob Ozmun and Catherine (Cunningham) Ozmun, but proof is lacking.

He married Phoebe Holmes, October 16, 1836, Summit County, Ohio. They were the parents of Priscilla Ozmun (1845-1903), the wife of Valencourt Hudson; and Aurelia A. Ozmun, b. abt 1848, Maryland and d. between 1850-60.

William's name appears in the 1860 Mortality Schedule. The cause of death was Pleurisy. He died in Flowerfield Twp. and is probably buried in an unmarked grave in Flowerfield Cemetery.
