Mr. Jaffee served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Rotary International and the Joslyn Senior Center Rancho Bernardo.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; daughter, Joanne J. Williams of Valencia; sons, Jeffrey A. Jaffee of Pasadena and Charles N. Jaffee of Santa Clara; and sister, Florence Rossi of Washington, D.C.
Everybody got along with everybody. He landed in the first wave on Omaha Beach on D-Day and married soon after returning home at the end of WWII. His 50 years in the jewelry industry concluded with more than 10 years as head of The Al Jaffee Marketing Group. He was renowned in the industry for innovation and leadership and helping many along a successful path.
Retiring at age 77, he took up the computer, treating many to his creative flare. He participated in Rotary Club International and the Readers Theater at Joslyn Senior Center. All of his life, people who met Al Jaffee remembered Al Jaffee, most of all his wife and children, whom he loved and provided for so well.
