Muncie – Betty Jean (Bailey) Satterfield, 91, passed away on Monday October 7, 2013 at Westminster Village.
She was born in Winchester on July 8, 1922, the daughter of Oliver Paul and Martha Edna (Gist) Bailey. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1941 and worked as a secretary for Ball Brothers before her marriage to Grover Allen Satterfield on October 2, 1943. Betty has lived at Westminster Village for the past eight years.
She was member of Riverside United Methodist Church, the Mary Esther Circle of WSWS, Warner Gear Sympathy Club and a former member of the YWCA board of directors.
Survivors include her children, Sue Ann Romanovich (husband, Anthony) of Fort Myers, Florida and Sandra Kay Robinson (husband, Steve) of Moore, South Carolina; her grandchildren, David Scott Robinson (wife, Melissa) of Kanab, Utah, Daniel Paul Robinson (wife, Dr. Pamela Zollinger) of Roanoke, Virginia; her step-grandchildren, James Michael Romanovich of Calabasas, California and Jon Matthew Romanovich (wife, Lisa) of Crown Point; her great-granddaughter, Lila Marie Robinson of Kanab, Utah; step-great-grandchildren, Katie Lynn Romanovich and Emily Ann Romanovich, both of Calabasas, California, Jacob Michael Gurgevich of Crown Point and Kara Ketterer of Maineville, Ohio; her sister, Joan Strait of Muncie; and her sister-in-law, Betty Bailey of Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Jack Bailey; a brother-in-law, Charles Strait and her parents.
