Viola Josephine was my Grandmother's maternal Grandmother. My Grandmother is the woman in the archived family picture. Viola is Great Grandmother to my father Dudley Parks. He is the blonde boy standing at right, in the family picture. Viola was born to John M. P. Baker and Sarah (Unknown maiden name). She died at the age of 32, leaving behind her husband George C. Ibison and seven children:
Mary Ida "Ibison" Chastain (my great grandmother),
William Benjamin Ibison,
George Benjamin Ibison, Sr.,
Ted Mason Ibison,
Jesse Robert Ibison,
John W. Ibison
James Gilbert Ibison.

To my foremother: I would like to dedicate this memorial on behalf of all your decendents. Be with God and be at peace until He awakens you once again.

"Died, Five miles South of Charleston, Franklin County, Arkansas, on Oct. 9th, 1890, Mrs. Josephine Ibison, aged 32 years. Deceased was a daughter of John M. P. and Sarah Baker of Greenwood, Sebastian County. Was married to George C. Ibison and moved to Franklin County and has resided near Charleston until her death. She was a consistent member of church, a devoted mother and was beloved by all who knew her. All join in extending their heart felt sympathy to her bereaved husband and family of seven small children. Funeral at Spencer Graveyard, 5 miles South of Charleston, Arkansas at 4 p.m., October 11th".
