SHORT ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF YOUNG WOMAN
Death claimed the young life of Miss Serena Bonk, aged 17, at Wales Sanitarium near Milwaukee yesterday afternoon where deceased had been a patient for a short time. The body was brought to this city to the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bonk, 1212 South Twentieth street, by Frazier and Shimek who made the trip to Wales to get the body.
Miss Bonk was born in this city on October 5, 1909, and had lived here all her life, attending the public schools and up until the time of her illness attended the Manitowoc Business college. Seven sisters, Mrs. Joseph Sikorski, Mrs. Mary Delartz, Misses Blanche, Alice, Theresa, Catherine and Eleanor, all of this city, together with the parents and three brothers, Stanley, Frank and Sylvester, survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 from the St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. Father Kubiszewski officiating, with burial at St. Mary's cemetery in this city.
