OAK RIDGE - Mrs. Clara Lindsay Morehead, 74, a resident of 104 Claxton Dr., Oak Ridge Community died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at her residence, following an illness of 8 weeks.
Mrs. Morehead was born in Guilford County, a daughter of the late George and Lydia Mitchell Lindsay. She was a life time resident of Guilford County and a life member of Zion Hill United Methodist Church where she had served as Sunday school teacher, Lay Leader and Trustee. She was a former employee at Regional Airport cafe, and had been employed at Gilliam Florist.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Joseph Morehead, Sr. of the home; son, Joseph "Donnie" Morehead, Jr. and wife, Wanda of Oak Ridge; grandson, Joey Morehead of Raleigh; granddaughters, Terri and Jerri Morehead of Oak Ridge; sisters, Mrs. Mary Metz of Greensboro and Mrs. Idaleen Jones of Detroit, Mich.; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Cryptside service will take place 2 p.m. Monday in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. The body will remain at Haizlip Funeral Home where family visitation will take place today, 6-6:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
