Olean -- Merle H. Ludden, formerly of North 11th Street, died Friday April 15, 2005 at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Olean campus.
Born in Portville on November 9, 1922 he was the son of Clair and Florence Ludden. On July 29, 1953 he married Enid Garland who predeceased him on December 21, 1997.
Mr. Ludden was employed for over 25 years at Clark Brothers prior to his retirement. He was active with the Salvation Army and was an involved member of the Gideon Society.
Merle enjoyed collecting postcards, taking pictures and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, NY.
