Clyde E. Knapp age 89 of Lewistown, IL formerly of Prairie City, IL passed away at 12:32 P.M. Tuesday October 8, 2013 at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, IL. Clyde was born on April 3, 1924 in Oneida, IL to John W. and Icle I. White Knapp. He married Betty L. Yocum in Bushnell on April 27, 1946 and she preceded him in death on September 1, 1999. He is survived by 1 Son – Gary (Sherry) Knapp of Avon, IL, 2 Daughters – Sheri (Ted) Collins of Lewistown, IL and Debra (Kelly) Repp of Hanna City, IL, 1 Daughter-in-Law – Ruby Knapp of Adair, IL, 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Son (Ronald), 1 Brother and 1 Sister. Clyde retired from C.S. Norcross Mfg. in Bushnell after 20 years of service. Before joining Norcross he farmed in the area. He loved music, fishing, hunting, gardening, and most of all his family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday October 11, 2013 at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, IL. with Chaplin Rick Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 P.M. Thursday October 10, 2013 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Prairie City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmington Country manor Employee Fund.
