Born in Salem, Ark., a son of Hubert A. and Alma K. Fields Jenkins. His father survives in Blue Springs. He was married April 21, 1979, to Patricia Lawson, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in Independence. He was a heavy equipment operator and owned his own construction company. He later worked for Wilson Plumbing and retired from Kissick Construction in 1999. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Climax Springs.
Other survivors include: one son, one daughter, three stepdaughters, three sisters, four granddaughters, five step grandchildren, one great-grandson, and one step great-grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Pastor Darrell DeVenney will officiate. Burial will be in Parrack Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Faith Baptist Church or to the Benton County Hospice.
