Husband of Hope (Koch) Geary.
A 1947 music graduate of Syracuse University, he was an instrumental music teacher at South Mountain Junior High School for 27 years before retiring in 1981. He previously was supervisor of instrumental music at Catasauqua High School.
He was a conductor for the Allentown Municipal Band, 1962-1971.
Geary served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He attained the rank of major.
