Fred C. Boldig Rites Saturday at Morris Church

Fred Carl Boldig, the first white boy born in the town of Morris, died Dec. 16 at Tigerton following a long illness. He was 73.
Mr. Boldig had been ill for a long time and was seriously ill for the last six months.
He was born March 7, 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Boldig.
On April 17, 1895, he was married to Elenora Miller, who died in 1944.
Mr. Boldig was widely known as a farmer and sawmill owner.
Surviving are four children, Lewis of Morris, Lee of Morris, (Vere), Mrs. C. R. Maahs of Tilleda and Frederick of Morris; 13 grandchildren; sister (Joan) Mrs. Wm. Roever of Marshfield; brothers Waldemar of Jacksonville, Fla., Carlton of Morris, Lester of Bowie, Earl of Morris and Kermit of Racine.
Mr. Boldig was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church of the town of Morris.
Rites will be held at Immanuel Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Leon Holm officiating.
Friends may call at the Uttormark Funeral Home at Tigerton until 10 a.m. Saturday and then at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
