Waynesboro, Pa. - VIRGINIA C. "JO" CRAIG MURRAY, 89, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home and formerly a resident of Hearthstone Retirement Home, 102 S. Potomac St., died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at the nursing home. Born May 30, 1911, in Welsh Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late H. Wallace and Grace Duffield Craig.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Murray, in 1984. They were married in February 1948.

She was a 1932 graduate of Waynesboro High School and a 1935 graduate of Hahnemann School of Nursing. She was employed as a private duty nurse for Hahnemann Hospital from 1935 to 1978. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Waynesboro. She was a member of National AARP.

She is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Bitner and Isabelle Bates, both of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Louisa Decker of Waynesboro; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Watson D. Craig; and an infant brother.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown.
