Louis Stanley "Twig" Mikel, Jr., 56, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, October 9, 2013.

Twig was born in Ennis, Texas on February 27, 1957 to Louis Stanley and Mary (Slovak) Mikel, Sr. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1975.

He worked for many years as a plumber and electrician for A&L Plumbing. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He enjoyed watching all sporting events especially NASCAR.

He is survived by her mother Mary Mikel; sons: Dustin Mikel and Todd Smith; brothers: Jimmy Mikel and Frank "Funk" Mikel; sister, Linda Mikel; three nephews and a town full of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Pallbearers will be Dustin Mikel, Todd Smith, Jeremiah Mikel, Josh Mikel, Jimmy Mikel and Josef Mike.

He will be cremated and put in mini vault on top of his dad at St Joesph Cemetery, Ennis, Ellis, TX.
