John A. Erickson, 59, Wittenberg, died on Saturday, October 5, 2013 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.He was born on June 13, 1954 in Wausau, the son of the late Martin and Genevieve (Meverden) Erickson.John owned and operated Erickson Frame Repair, Wittenberg and was also employed at the former Wittenberg Ford Garage. He enjoyed flying remote control model airplanes that he built. John was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Most important to John was the time he spent with his family.Survivors include three children, Kim (Robin) Schmidlkofer, Wausau, Jesse (Lindsay) Erickson, Fort McMurray, Canada and Chase (Kourtney Krueger) Erickson, Shawano; four grandchildren, Aaron, Bailey, Connor and Genevieve and one sister, Judy (Wayne) Patterson, Wittenberg.John was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Stacey, granddaughter, Peyton and a brother, Jerry. Inurnment will be in St. Philomena Catholic Cemetery, Birnamwood.
