Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Hernandez, 36, of East Bernard, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Burial will be at San Francisco Cemetery in East Bernard. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel of Rosenberg, with Father Joe Vrana officiating
Hernandez died Thursday after a lengthy illness at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.
Survivors include her husband, Juan Hernandez; two sons, Johnny Acuna Jr. and Antonio Acuna, both of East Bernard; one daughter, Anita Acuna of East Bernard; parents, Zaragoza and Gregoria Montalvo of East Bernard; five brothers, Zaragoza Montalvo of Wallis, and Ray Montalvo, Joe Montalvo, Johnny Montalvo, and Jessie Montalvo, all of East Bernard; four sisters, Janie Montalvo, Gloria Rodriguez, Lupe Cruz, and Angelita Montalvo, all of East Bernard; her grandmother, Maria Montalvo of Needville; and other relatives.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Hernandez Funeral Home of Rosenberg.
