He was born on April 29th 1919 in Manhattan, N.Y., he was the son of Albert and Grace (Ianiello) Bergamo.
He served honorably in World War II with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre.
He later was a Detective with the New York City Police Department.
He was predeceased by his wife; June (LaBelle) Bergamo on June 5th 2010, two sons; Dante A. Bergamo Jr. in 2003 and Robert A. Bergamo in 1994, and one granddaughter; Tara (Bergamo) Maldonado.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, August 25th 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery in Colchester, Vt.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Vermont Army National Guard.
