Parents: Thomas Blossom and Thankful Paddock of Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts.
Revolutionary War, enlisted 7 Sep. 1778.
Captain Ezra married Mehitable Foster about 1782, in Harwich, Barnstable, MA. Shortly after their marriage, they moved from Barnstable to Lenox. In 1787, when Lenox was designated the Berkshire Shiretown and was therefore home to both the courthouse and the county jail, Blossom was appointed Gaoler until 1814. In 1815, the Blossoms removed to Brighton, NY where Ezra opened a tavern in the town centre on the southwest corner of what is now East Avenue and Winton Road. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 10 daughters, but fewer than half lived to adulthood.
