It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, MIKE H. BUSTILLOS, age 67, of Las Cruces on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 15, 1946 in Berino to Inosente and Lupe Hinojos Bustillos. Mike was well known as a jokester and his great sense of humor. He worked as a gas station manager until his retirement, and was a member of the First Assembly of God.
Those left to mourn his passing include two sons, Gilbert Bustillos and wife Esmeralda and Mike Bustillos, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, all of Las Cruces; three daughters, Roseann Murillo and husband Joe of Tucson, Arizona, Yvette Guerrero and husband Bernie, and Precilla Betancourt and husband Sal all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include one brother, Julian Bustillos; two sisters, Mary Carbajal both of Las Cruces and Socorro Ortiz and husband Mike of Albuquerque; twenty-seven grandchildren twenty-four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pauline H. Bustillos in 2006, a brother, Tony Bustillos, a sister-in-law, Yolanda Bustillos and a brother-in-law, Alvino Carbajal.
Visitation for Mr. Bustillos will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Funeral Service scheduled for 10 AM Friday, August 30, 2013 at the First Assembly of God, 5605 Bataan Memorial West with Pastor David Vistine officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road where he will lay to rest alongside his wife.
Serving as casket bearers will be Brianna Rae Bustillos, Gabriel Castillo, Michael Bustillos III, Ruben Bustillos, Sal Angel Orona, Joe Lino Murillo, Roman Guerrero and John Perez. Honorary bearers will be the rest of his grandchildren.
