Blanche took me in (1976-1978) when my car died on my first trip to Mineral Point after learning my mother and all my maternal side relatives were from there, and then then unknown to me, my cousin, Tom Engels, recommended her. She told me about my great Aunt Marie (Colllins) Harris who at that time was in the Mineral Point Nursing Home. I so enjoyed my visit with her but wish I would have asked her so many more questions. She was a sweetheart for sure.
