PERGIE BROOKS BRADFORD
Funeral services for Pergie Brooks Bradford will be at 11:00 am at Pritchard Baptist Church in the Old River Community with Rev. Gary Norris, Rev. Nolan LeBeaux and Chaplain Clyde Gammon officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6pm until 9pm Tuesday, October 15 and continue at 8am Wednesday, October 16, 2013 until time for services at the church.
Mrs. Bradford, 97, was born February 26, 1916 in Bryson City, North Carolina to the union of James Harrison and Hattie Victoria Barker Brooks and passed from this life on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Jena Nursing and Rehab Center in Jena.
Mrs. Bradford was a Homemaker, member of Pritchard Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and she loved gardening.
Those left to cherish her memories are her Daughters, Maxine Hodges of Jena, Ruby Jean Hair of Alexandria and Velma Grace Hudnall and her husband, Don L. of West Monroe; Sons, James Walter Bradford and his wife Betty of French Fork and Herbert Ray Bradford and his wife Martha of Melville; Sister, Lula Gardner of Mebane, North Carolina; also survived by 18-grandchildren, 22-great grandchildren and 5-great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Bradford; parents, daughter, Nancy Victoria Burns; Sisters, Effie Mae Freeman, Dolly Dixon, Ruby LeBeaux and Floy Parris Berner; brothers, James Brooks and Paul Brooks; granddaughter, Mildred Ann Burns and great grandson, James Mathaew Spell.
Pallbearers will be Ray Hodges, Jr., Brad Hodges, Tony Hodges, Don L. Hudnall, Jr., Steve Hudnall, Wendall Bradford and Preston Beard.
