Herbert E. Fluegge of Arlington Heights Mass for Herbert E. Fluegge, 80, formerly of Cary, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Edna Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Born Nov. 18, 1922, in Leyden Township, he died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be in Windridge Cemetery, Cary. Herbert was employed with General Telephone, GTE for 35 years. He was a retired school bus driver for 15 years with Laidlaw. He was the husband of Virginia C. Fluegge (nee Didier); father of Mary Lou (Guy) Goldsworthy, Stephen Fluegge, William (Judith) Fluegge, Alan Fluegge and Karen Fluegge; grandfather of Richard and Alexandra Goldsworthy, and Thomas, Laura, Caitlin and Lauren Fluegge; brother of Alfred (Betty) Fluegge and the late William Fluegge; and son of the late William and Johanna (nee Brenwald) Fluegge. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. today, at the church. Arrangements were made by the Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.
