Last Saturday Oris B. RICHESON, a well-known citizen of south Bloomfield, contracted a severed cold and it grew worse until Tuesday when it developed he was suffering with pneumonia. The progress of the disease was rapid and he died Wednesday morning about 7 o'clock. He was a good man, a highly respected citizen and was a pioneer member of the Christian church. He was a soldier in the Civil war, serving in Co. F, 53rd Indiana infantry and was honorably discharged. If he had lived until January he would have been seventy-three years of age. In his youth he was united in marriage with Miss Martha DUGGER at Hobbieville. To this union nine children were born. The deceased are Albert, Harvey and Ola. The surviving children are (William) Bogard (RICHESON), of Cass, Gambetta, of Linton, Logan (Dugger) (RICHESON) of Bloomfield, Mrs. Cora LESTER of Taylor township, Mrs. Abbie CUSTER, of Raymond, Ill., and Mrs. Myrtle LEAVITT, of Bloomfield. Besides the children and the faithful wife, he leaves several grandchildren. Mr. And Mrs. Richeson moved here from Hobbieville about twenty-five years ago. The funeral will be held at the Christian church tomorrow (Friday) forenoon at 10 o'clock, conducted by Elders OWEN and COX. Interment in Grand View Cemetery.
