Saylor Franklin Fox, 77, of Buena Vista, died Monday, August 16, 1999 at V.A. Medical Center in Salem. He was born May 1, 1922 in Buena Vista, son of the late Frank Fox and Bertie Flint Fox. He was retired from Lee's Carpet after 28 years of service. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Fox was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Minne McDaniel Fox; three sons, Frank Fox and daughter-in-law, Sonya Fox, of Buena Vista, Saylor Fox, Jr. and Betty Fox of Chapplin, S.C. and Arnold Fox of Raphine; one sister, Mary Austin, of Staunton; four grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 1999 at Victory Baptist Church with the Reverend Dean Staton and Reverend Wyatt Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill.
