Robert Lee Reid, 84, of Lexington, died Thursday, May 14, 1998 at the VA Medical Center, Salem. He was born July 26, 1913 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Steve C. Reid and Nannie Grant Reid. Mr. Reid was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired textile weaver from the Tioga Mills, York, Pennsylvania and a former member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews, including Larry D. Reid of Buena Vista, Garry R. Reid of Lexington and John T. Reid, Jr. of Buena Vista. Mr. Reid was the last surviving member of hie immediate family. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, May 18, 1998, with military honors at the Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista, with Pastor Dean Staton officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 17, 1998, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Service, Lexington.
