Born Aug. 6, 1899, in Olusti, Okla., she was raised and educated in Oklahoma. Her maiden name was Johnson. She moved to the Portland area in 1919 and married Howard W. Pearce in 1925 in The Dalles.
Mrs. Pearce lived in the Multnomah area for many years and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Multnomah. She was a telephone operator and had worked as a clerk in a local grocery store for about 16 years. Her husband died in 1954.
She is survived by her nieces, Norma Bremer of Portland, Audrey Andrianakas of Agoura Hills, Calif., and Lois Nelson of Vancouver, Wash.; and nephews, Stan Johnson of South Carolina, Jon M. Johnson of Longview, Texas, and Roger Johnson, Donnie Johnson and Ralph Johnson, all of Portland.
