Wesley J. "Pap" Amond, a native of Oscar and resident of Bueche, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at his home in Bueche. He was 71 and Retired from Big Cajun II where he worked as a Mechanic for 25 years.

Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland until Mass of Christian Burial, conducted by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Entombment will follow in False River Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Niland's Funeral Service, Inc., New Roads, LA.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Mary Lynn Loupe Amond; one daughter, Sharon (Tootie) Amond and Charlette; two sons, Robert Charles Amond and wife Jane, Matthew Wayne Amond and wife Janet; one sister, Grace Poche; three brothers, Roger, Johnny and Larry Amond; and two grandchildren, Dallas Wayne Amond and Bradley Matthew Amond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Amond Sr. and Alice Cline Amond; and brother, Eddie Amond Jr.

Pallbearers are Roger, Johnny and Larry Amond, Robert Charles Amond, Tootie Amond, Al Laporte, Jerry Laurent and Johnny Poche. Honorary Pallbearers, are Aristede Lemoine Jr., Lester Jarreau, Ron Simoneaux, E.J. Major, Frank Rice, Dennis Webre.

Member of Baist Hunting Club and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
